At Saltwater, great naval engineering begins with understanding what lies below the surface. As a Project Engineer, you are responsible for translating complex maritime challenges into structured, manageable projects. You coordinate engineers and specialists, maintain oversight, and ensure that projects are delivered according to planning, scope, and expectations. Acting as the link between client and engineering team, you guide projects from initial concept through to successful delivery.

How you’ll make a difference

You take ownership of maritime engineering projects and ensure that all elements come together effectively. From planning and coordination to client communication, you maintain control over the entire process.

 

Working closely with engineers, specialists, and clients, you translate requirements into clear project structures and keep projects on track. You anticipate challenges, manage expectations, and ensure that quality and deadlines are met.

 

Key tasks:

Managing and coordinating engineering projects from start to finish

Leading and supporting a team of engineers and specialists

Monitoring planning, budget and project scope

Acting as the main point of contact for clients

Aligning with lead engineers on technical direction and scope changes

What you bring
to the team

You are a structured and proactive engineer who is comfortable taking responsibility and leading projects. You understand both the technical and organisational side of engineering and are able to keep projects moving forward.

You bring:

A degree in Naval Architecture, Mechanical or Civil Engineering (or similar)

At least 2 years of experience in the maritime or offshore industry

Basic knowledge of CAD software such as AutoCAD or BricsCAD

Strong communication and coordination skills

A structured and solution-oriented mindset

A proactive attitude and sense of ownership
